deepest recesses of their imaginations: there is no denying the thrill
of the moment, but the long-term consequences of such indulgences are
real, and Daniels does a convincing job of presenting the full range of
those repercussions in a realistic light. The more adventurous among us
should definitely read this book cover-to-cover before planning their
next "fantasy weekend" away from the family…

Apex Reviews: Michele, thanks for joining us for this interview. We’re looking forward to learning more about your book.
Are parties/the night life in Vegas really as wild as you depict in the book?
Michele Daniels: Any party can become as wild as you allow it to be, but the atmosphere in Vegas encourages behavior that most people won’t display at home amongst friends.
AR: As is the case in the book, do women truly tend to be more sexually adventurous than they let on to their mates?
MD: The male generally sets the pace of how sexually adventurous a woman will be in a relationship. Some men know how to release a woman’s wild side, and it takes away the need for a woman to express herself with others.
AR: That being the case, why don’t they let their mates know exactly what will turn them on sexually, rather than seeking pleasure elsewhere?
MD: Gina and Marcus had such a traditional sexual relationship, and, with Gina being inexperienced, she didn’t know how let her husband know that the desire to be a bit more adventurous had been building. It took this trip to build her confidence. Kellie and Michele didn’t have a problem with expressing themselves, but Stacey was self-conscious about her body, and she also didn’t think that Richard would be receptive of her getting freaky in the bedroom.
AR: What Happens In Vegas...Stays In Vegas almost comes off as an updated, "sexually liberated" version of Waiting To Exhale. Has anyone else drawn that kind of comparison?
MD: No, I’ve never heard that from anyone.
AR: What kinds of reactions has the book gotten from readers?
MD: Most of my readers enjoy reading about risks they aren’t willing to take in their own lives. Since the storylines are reasonably realistic, my readers can relate to the characters and can fantasize about themselves being in these roles. Imagination brings the story to life.
It’s not just a wild story about a weekend in Vegas, it’s a true-to-life story of consequence and what they each endure upon returning home.
AR: Our reviewer noted that the issue of karma plays a major role in the consequences of the friends’ actions. We all know that what goes around comes around, so why didn’t any of them think about the full repercussions of their decisions before making them?
MD: Most people think that if planned carefully, they can get away with anything. When we are doing the deed, we don’t think about the consequence.
AR: The "Michele" in the book wouldn’t happen to be an autobiographical portrayal, would she...?
MD: No way. You know what’s funny about that? When I named the character, I didn’t think about the name comparison. A reader pointed it out to me well after the book was published.
AR: Please share more with our readers about your organization, Grice Publishing Company.
MD: Grice Publishing, Inc. was created solely to publish my writing. Once I learn the ends and outs of the publishing game, I will help other authors make their dreams of publication come true.
AR: What are your future writing/publishing aspirations?
MD: To date I’ve written eleven novels. I have ten more to release and there is always a story in my head waiting to come out. My next novel is ready for publication. I want to be sure that I’ve implemented everything I’ve learned while publishing Vegas before I set a release date. There is a lot for me to learn and I’ll learn more and more with each novel, so I look forward to each release date. Grice Publishing, Inc. will have its second novel available soon.
